Coronavirus: Nur-Sultan introduces additional measures to prevent infection

In accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated April 11, 2014 “On Civil Protection”, the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated March 15, 2020 No. 285 “On introduction of the state of emergency in the Republic of Kazakhstan” to protect the life and health of citizens, to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection (COVID-19) connected with the increase in cases of detected coronavirus infection in Nur-Sultan city during the quarantineperiod and the state of emergency on the territory ofNur-Sultan city, the Head of the Emergency Response Centeron the prevention of the spread of coronavirus infection in Nur-Sultan city HAS RESOLVED:

From 00:00 a.m. March 28, 2020:

To limit the city residents from leaving a house, except for the cases of travelling to work and buying food and medicine;

To close public gathering places (parks, squares, pedestrian streets, embankment, playgrounds, etc.);

To confinethe operation of public transport in a phased manner;

To establish a ban on groupmeetings of more than three people (exceptfor family members) on the streets and in other public places;

To establish a ban on the movement of unaccompanied minors.
