Ulaanbaatar [Donation campaign running to help Russia’s Republic of Buryatia]

A total of 126 Mongolian students, who study in the Russian Federation, arrived in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia on April 11 after traveling by airplane from Moscow to Ulan-Ude city and by bus from Ulan-Ude to Ulaanbaatar.
Due to travel restrictions and border closures, the government of the Republic of Buryatia of Russia has helped the students to arrange their travel in and out of Ulan-Ude city.

Now after arriving home, the students have taken the initiative to run a donation campaign to help the people of Buryatia.

As of today, 163 cases of coronavirus infection have been recorded in the region. Therefore, the students initiated the campaign to donate face masks and hand sanitizers in collaboration with the Mongolian Association of Graduates in the Russian Federation (MAWSUZ).

In addition, ‘Ulaanbaatar-Ulan-Ude’ online meeting to help the Republic of Buryatia, Russia was held yesterday, on April 22.
