BMA’S AFFILIATED SCHOOLS READY FOR THE NEW SCHOOL SEMESTER

On 17th June 2020, Mrs. Silapasuai Rawisaengsun, Permanent Secretary for BMA, revealed that Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) is ready for the reopening of 437 BMA’s affiliated schools for the new semester on 1st July 2020. All schools were strongly advised to work with district offices to clean all areas in schools such as classrooms, toilets, first aid rooms, and canteens. Each school must arrange student’s desks and dining tables to have at least 1-meter physical distancing and screens must be placed between student’s desks and between dining tables.

Moreover, the BMA urged all schools to set up screening points at the entrance to check body temperature of students before entering school, use Thai Chana mobile application to record the entrances and exits of people coming in and out of school’s premises, and install handwashing stations with alcohol-based hand sanitizer gel at various areas within schools.  Most of the BMA’s affiliated schools have carried out the above-mentioned measures since 1st June 2020. Therefore, the public can be assured of the COVID-19 prevention measures of the BMA’s affiliated schools.
