Ulaanbaatar [98 percent of healthcare workers receive first dose of COVID-19 vaccine]

On March 22, 12,573 people received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in the capital city where 732 health workers are operating at 23 immunization points.

A total of 223,444 people have gotten the first dose so far nationwide, including 218,400 people in Ulaanbaatar and 5,044 people in Umnugobi aimag, since the vaccination campaign launched on February 23.

According to the WHO recommendations, 98 percent of healthcare workers and 99 percent of personnel of other organizations that are working in the frontline to fight the COVID-19 have been inoculated. In Ulaanbaatar, about 185,000 people aged 50-64 are currently eligible for the first dose, of whom 19.5 percent have been inoculated. In addition, people over the age of 65 and those who had the transplants started receiving the first dose on March 22.
