
D.Nyamkhuu, Director of the National Center of Communicable Diseases (NCCD), announced at today’s daily briefing of the Ministry of Health that another person who is staying in quarantine after arriving in Mongolia on an evacuation flight from Istanbul, Turkey last week, tested positive for the novel coronavirus in a second test, bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases in Mongolia to 12.
The Government of Mongolia has recently evacuated around 1,000 citizens who had reasonable excuses to return home and tested all of them for coronavirus. As of today, 220 suspected COVID-19 cases are in quarantine at NCCD and 2,390 people are in quarantine nationwide.
