BMA REITERATES PEOPLE TO COMPLY WITH LENIENT MEASURES

On 13th May 2020, Pol.Gen. Aswin Kwanmuang, Governor of Bangkok, joined the meeting of the BMA’s Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration, No. 40/2020.

The meeting reported current situation of the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) on 13th May 2020. In Bangkok, no new additional COVID-19 confirmed case was found.

The meeting assigned district offices and related departments to actively campaign for public compliance with protective measures against the spread of the disease for at least 14-21 days in order to prevent the recurrence, which has happened in various countries.

District offices were also requested to install “Pantry of Sharing” for people suffering from the spread of COVID-19 so that they can take food, drinks and other necessary items. The food pantries must be installed orderly at proper locations without blocking traffic.

If possible, alcohol-based hand sanitizers should be provided along with signs notifying recipients to wash their hands before closing the pantry to prevent risk of being disease spreading point. Moreover, the pantries should be installed close to the CCTV spot.
